Medical Unit-II

Medical Unit-II is a distinguished Department of Internal Medicine at GMMMC Hospital Sukkur, led by the highly accomplished HOD, Professor Dr. Saleh Muhammad Channa (MBBS, FCPS), who brings a wealth of expertise and experience to the field. The department also boasts an exceptional team of consultants, including Professor Dr. Iftikhar Ali Shah (MBBS, FCPS) and Assistant Professor Dr. Basheer Ahmed Chandio. Known for its dedication to patient care and academic excellence, Medical Unit-II has earned a reputation for promoting advanced residency programs for FCPS and MD training.

With over 20 postgraduate trainees and numerous house officers currently enrolled, the unit prioritizes hands-on training and academic growth. A robust academic program is in place, featuring activities such as case presentations, topic discussions, and short and long case learning sessions. These initiatives ensure thorough preparation for postgraduates and house officers, many of whom excel in passing FCPS-II, IMM, TOACS, and MRCP Part 1 and Part 2 examinations.
